Lisa Owens has been part of Melanie’s team for 11 years and has played an important role in building Old Fort Wealth Management into what it is today. A licensed insurance agent specializing in life and annuity insurance, Lisa handles a little bit of everything—and when there’s something she doesn’t know, she’ll figure it out.

Lisa is the person you want on your team when a problem needs solving. She keeps things moving, takes care of the details, and brings a level of patience and grace to client conversations that is hard to match. More importantly, she genuinely enjoys getting to know clients personally. She wants to know what makes people happy, what matters to them, and how she can help make their experience better.

Her 11 years with Melanie have taken her through the ups and downs of selling one CPA firm and building another, giving her a unique perspective on both the business and the people behind it. Her history degree may not seem like the obvious path into financial services, but Lisa has always been a natural problem solver and a lifelong learner.

Outside the office, Lisa is an avid antique hunter. She loves going to estate sales, finding treasures, and selling her favorites through her own antique booth. She is also the officially appointed crazy cat lady of the office, with five rescue cats at home: Hank, Oscar, Bella, Spike, and Oliver—the favorite.

At Old Fort Wealth Management, Lisa brings something you can’t put on a résumé: 11 years of knowing how to make things work, a genuine love for people, and the ability to find an answer to just about anything.
